Hooking an Xbox up to a PC monitor

Ok, so if I was dealing with a 360, I could just pick up the VGA output cable… but for some reason, we never made one of those for the original Xbox. Now, I’ve found some companies that make reasonably priced converters from component video inputs to VGA (I’ve found several in the unreasonable price range too) but either they are permantely out of stock… or they look a little … hmm… how to say this, not like someone I’d like to give my credit card to?

Anyone else doing this? What are you using?

  1. Well if Sony hadn’t screwed things up for the rest of us, Lik-Sang.com would have been my suggestion (visit their site for the particulars). Now I’m in the same boat as you when looking for stuff like this. Your best bet is find someone similar to Lik-Sang who specializes in importing these sorts of items that are more prominant in Asia than here; if you do find one you like, be sure to let me know as well.

  2. I plan on doing something like this when I get a new Dell Monitor. Though its going to feel weird playing my Xbox 360 on a PC screen.
